Trey solo acoustic on 10/15/06 in Asheville, North Carolina. This is the first performance of Hood by Trey (or any other member of the band, for that matter) outside of Phish. This video only includes Section A and part of section B. Someday I’ll post the full audio version.
Here’s PART TWO where you can see Trey take a second (or six) to tune before he breaks into the jam.
NOTE: This is PART ONE of the video, go here for PART TWO.
Harry Hood was played by a Phish member outside of a Phish show for the first time that I know of* as Trey played a solo acoustic rendition on 2-26-11 in Columbus, Ohio. Like so many of the band’s songs, stripping away three layers leaves you with a very naked song. While I love that Trey is still taking chances, I’d be surprised to see him try this one again outside of his “day-job” band.
